It is based on a well-grounded protocol which follows specific steps in evaluation-treatment and can be applied to acute, sub-acute and chronic conditions of the vertebra and the peripheral articulations.<\/p>\n<p>This protocol follows the following stages:<\/p>\n<p>Evaluation \u2192 Classification \u2192 Tackling\/Treatment \u2192 Self-medication\/Prevention<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>[vc_single_image image=&#8221;23118&#8243; img_size=&#8221;1200&#215;800&#8243; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; onclick=&#8221;link_image&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1729578698289{margin-top: 60px !important;margin-bottom: 60px !important;}&#8221;]<div class=\"justify  vc_custom_1736848922164 last-paragraph-no-margin\"><p>The evaluation stage (1<sup>st<\/sup> stage) of the McKenzie Method begins by receiving an analytical history\u00a0 from the patient, in which are recorded all his symptoms and the way they \u201cappear\u201d within 24 hours. Consequently, a clinical evaluation takes place in which the patient is asked to perform specific movements or to stay still in specific positions. The difference of the clinical examination of MDT in comparison to other methods is that it uses repeated movements and timely extended positions. By this way, the physiotherapist is given the opportunity to detect any changes in the \u201cbehaviour\u201d of symptoms even through the stage of the initial evaluation and therefore to classify (2<sup>nd<\/sup> stage) the patient\u2019s problem accurately according to the classification of the McKenzie method.<\/p>\n<p>After the problem\u2019s ranking in accordance with MDT, the treatment (3<sup>rd<\/sup> stage) takes place, which may include the application of chiropractic techniques by the physiotherapist and of course a number of special McKenzie exercises. These exercises are repeated by the patient at home,\u00a0 at a particular frequency.
